The letter-number combinations such as E60 and N42 where main of the pairs have simple numbers makes it clear the first number in each pair is an MIT building number. The second numbers are indices into the name attached to each building. Some of these buildings do not have names or do not exist anymore as of 2024 but I found the names on a historical map from 2000.
