Our puzzle:
Your advisor has suggested that you take an introductory course
in preparation for your thesis work next year, but being as
advisors can be, he seems to have forgotten which course he was
going to suggest that you take. In fact, he can't seem to remember
anything at all about the course, not the professor's name nor the
name of the related series of introductory courses. However, he
does have one important piece of information. The series of
courses are typically taught in 3-343 at noon, 7 pm, and 8 pm on
Monday through Thursday.
Oh, and there's one more thing. Although it is possible to find
the syllabus for these classes in a variety of places around
campus, and you probably will want to pick up a copy of the
syllabus, the course you'll want to look into is not on the
regular listing. Hmm, it must have somethign to do with this list
of numbers....
2,3,4 6,1,3 5,1,1
1,1,4 9,2,4 5,3,1
8,3,1 3,1,7 3,3,3
2,3,1 4,3,2 8,3,1
Errata: The Faculty have issued a set of
verified replacement numbers for this course.
6,1,8 4,4,3 4,1,1
2,4,3 1,3,3 9,5,3
7,3,1 2,1,7 5,2,2
3,3,1 8,1,5 7,3,1
Hint: This deals with Athena
mini-courses.
