Prof. Scott Weiss (see solution)
Pop culture knowledge is an important part of the repertoire of
any Enigmatologist. We'd like you to identify some famous names
for this course. Instead of giving you a part of a name directly,
we've given you the boldface entry in Webster's Tenth Collegiate
Dictionary that would either precede or follow it if it were
listed in the main section of the dictionary. And, instead of
giving each person's transformed full name together, we've
scrambled up all the resulting words. It's up to you to match them
all up. As an aid to solving, we've provided categories for each
full name. When you're done, your answer is what's left over.
(Archivist's note: An erratum for
this puzzle says HEP is close but not quite correct. This
erratum should also have included MANIOC and PATRIARCHY as
having the same issue.)
