A word stack is a grid for a list of related words arranged so that some matching letters fall in the same columns; these letters get a single tall box to indicate the repetition. The words may be arbitrarily staggered left or right, and sometimes arbitrarily ordered, in order to increase the number and height of these shared letter boxes. Usually only a few letters are initially given.
